Not much has changed, but they live underwater:

Busted vs. The Jonas Brothers.

I grew up listening to Busted, too. I hate how everyone thinks The Jonas Brothers were the first to sing Y3 and TWIGTSF. I've moved to America (blechhh) and everyone here is all about TJB and they've never heard of Busted. There's this girl I know who's obsessed with Hannah Montana and TJB and refuses to believe they copied Y3 and TWIGTSF. Nobody does. But I really hate how they made it more Disney. I don't have anything against Disney, I mean, the man's blood, but I don't think 'your great great great grandaughter is pretty fine' is that bad. I mean, they sing about kissing girls in other songs, which, if you think about it, is 'dirtier' than fancying one.

i'm from America
and i heard about Busted when they first came out
so not all Americans are obsessed with JB and HM crap.
Busted has always been my favorite band.
The Jonas Brothers would never be able to beat out Busted
They're legends♥

I grew up in New Zealand and my first introduction to Busted was Year 3000 on Singstar. I live in India now. I was 9 then and have been crazy about Busted EVER since(well, not really. I forgot about them and now i'm crazy over James and Matt). Now i'm 14 and I never knew about the cover and my friend came upto me one day and said "Hey, I got this awesome new song. Its callde Year 3000. Wanna listen?" and I was like "Its not new, I used to love it when I was younger". But when I listened to it, it sounded more strange and girlier. The lyrics had changed as well. So I went back home and found tht there was a cover and I got appaled! The song is much more poppier and in the bubblegum pop sense. I told my friend the truth but she still likes the Jonas version better (stubborn girl!). I have nothing against the Brothers, but for me, it left a really bad taste in my mouth. They shouldn't have changed the lyrics either as both songs were pop-punk and a big characteristic of pop-punk is catchy, spunky lyrics.
For me, thr TJB version took the punk out of pop-punk. They should'nt have messed with a legend of a song.
