I think both of the bands are Awesome
But I liek the Jonas BRothers more:)
and they do write most of their songs
Year 3000 was From Busted btu they just re-did it
just liek a 100 other singers do

they changed like 3 lines to the whole song. and pretty much ripped off the music video

the jonas brothers changed the song "Year 3000" to a load of american rubbish. And their version of 'What I Go To School For', also written by Busted, which they totally messed up, doesn't even make any sense. Like the part where they sing 'Girlfriends, I've had plenty... she's the one that I need' doesn't even rhyme

i love how your making fun of the year 3000 and what i go to school for lyrics when james is the one that rewrote the songs for them....so the lyrics u r trashing are james' work!

This is interesting - I didn't realize that it was James who rewrote the lyrics. Not that this is all that important to me (again, what difference does it make who wrote the song? why is this even an issue?), but could you cite your source, provide a link to where it says that James wrote the lyric?

But for what it's worth, changing ""your great-great-great-granddaughter is pretty fine" to "your great-great-great-grandaughter is DOING fine" makes the song worse; not horribly worse - it's only one line - but it is a bad change. Why aren't you allowed to tell someone that his great-great-great-granddaughter is attractive? Why is "attractiveness" thrown out of the song? And I think there is an interesting issue; was it Disney who insisted on the change? This takes being squeaky clean to a pathological extreme, as if being sexy and attractive were a dangerous, bad thing. And if it wasn't Disney, was it one of the Jonases? What was the reason for the change? If it was James, what was he thinking? Is there any info on this? I'm speculating above on possible motives for the change, but has anyone involved actually given a reason?

James was being nice by redoing the lyrics, because Knowing the Jonas dorks, It would have taken them practically FOREVER to come up with good lyrics to fill in the "Bad" Spots. They pretty much knew that Disney would NEVER take them and their song if it had phrases that were "unclean" because Disney pretty much is for children, so knowing this, they asked James to help them change the lyrics, WHICH HE DID, and then they Sat back, and watched BUSTEDS song become a hit, with all of these little girls thinking that they wrote it, and I for one am tired of all of these immature little teenage girls that think they know everything going, "JONAS BROTHERS WROTE YEAR 3000, BUSTED COPIED, JONAS BROTHERS ARE WAY BETTER!"
So there.
