Do squirrels ever walk, or stroll?

All I ever see them do is scurry. Or race. They scurry (or race) from place to place. Or they scurry a foot or two and then stop. Then scurry forward a bit more. And stop. Etc.

I have not spent much time studying squirrels, obviously. I am usually in my head having ideas instead, or brooding. Or looking at a computer screen.

I could have gone to wikip to look for an answer to this question.

There are people who study squirrels and such for a living, correct?

definitely add bounding, hopping and leaping to things squirrels do, but i'm not sure i've ever seen one strolling, unlike the urban foxes who do little but stroll.
