My old Radio On/WMS buddy Scott Woods has begun posting his off-the-cuff thoughts on all the singles/oddities/one-shots listed by Greil Marcus in Stranded. First up is "Shake A Hand" by Faye Adams, which both Scott and I would have thought was sung by a guy if we hadn't known otherwise. Scott says it's almost operatic doo-wop. To me it sounds like subsequent r&b guys demonstrating how romance rips out their guts.
