4. "4 o'clock my mind's filled with a thousand thoughts of you"
5. "And while we _____ through the _____ fear"
6. "I cut your nails and comb your hair"
7. "Weather man says it might hit 95, September's gonna feel more like July"
8. "First you tell me yes, then you tell me maybe"
9. "Baby can't you see I'm callin', a guy like you should wear a warnin'"
10. "Mum dabba da dadda" [or something]
11. "Workin' all week 9 to 5 for my money"
12. "Those heartbreak moves just bring me closer"*
13. "It's written everywhere, I've even read it in my script"
14. "I feel oh so glamorous, lookin' super fabulous"
15. "Incompatible, it don't matter though"
16. "I lost my heart under the bridge"
17. "I ain't no queen of hearts, I go through stages"
18. "Wanna show you how I feel, can't get enough, turn it up"*
19. "Don't say, don't say yeah" [or something]
20. "And head up dear, you're shallow and blind"
21. "You don't love me like you used to, you don't say those words"
22. "I'm losin' you tonight all right (?)"*
23. "There's clothes all over the floor, I don't remember them bein' here before"
24. "I like them black girls, I like them white girls"
25. "The boys in the club love the fashion parade"
BONUS QUESTION (more interesting than the actual quiz): Which of the ones you don't know would intrigue you, as a first line? (assuming they were performed OK) And which would put you off?
Hints: It is the cheating to use the google. It is one of my favorite songs, the first one. It is not one of my favorite songs, the twenty-fifth one. It is one many of you have heard recently, the eighth one. It is by number nine, the thirteenth one. It is by number two, the fourth one. It is unreleased, a couple of these. It is a cover song, at least one of these.

I am EXCITED to know these things

Date: 2008-02-20 02:37 pm (UTC)Unfortunately, the EPIC EMOTIONZ line in 4 is sung by an Irish dork guest artist rather than by the superbabe wonderful singer who's song this mostly is... The opening to 12 really is good, and the track is by a fellow whose work you probably know - I almost want to call him "singer-songwriter dance," but I have to spend more time with his album (which I stupidly dismissed after only a few cuts)... 17 is someone whom you almost certainly don't know but the producer on it has done production and songwriting that you quite admire (though he's not one of the songwriters on this one; the actual cowriter wrote one of my favorite teenybopper faves of 2006). The first few lines go, "I ain't no queen of hearts, I go through stages/I fall in love then complicate it/Yeah, you know the feeling." Excellent.
