Ok, on a completely different topic, I keep trying to use the "lj-cut" tags on a new post, and they keep not working which means I subject everyone to scads of text. Why don't they work? I type in (except I use sideways brackets rather than carets) [lj-cut text="How emo are you?"] then a whole bunch of text, then [/lj-cut] but then I get all the text anyway; I thought that by going to "rich text" this would make a difference, but it doesn't.

are you suSUREre it's not working? the first time yr post went up, i'm fairly sure the poll was under a cut on my friends page until i went in to post a reply (about ilm's colin meeder, who invented emo) and i saw the whole thing

you will always be able to see it uncut on your OWN page (and in "view post"), but it will be under a cut on anyone's friends page

(to be fair i find it tricky to use and generally don't)
