I just re-listened to this (a bit late) to see if it deserved my last minute tick. I always assumed that Justin Timberlake appeared on this song somewhere but apparently not!

It's Charlie Wilson, formerly of the Gap Band.

It's interesting to me how much r&b/urban radio is willing or isn't willing to accept Timberlake. They didn't take to his singles as much as Top 40 did. (Whereas there are white performers that the urban stations will totally embrace: Teena Marie back in her day, Robin Thicke now. R&b/hip-hop/rhythm, which is something of a different format, is more open.
