The Top 40 has only one newbie; meanwhile, Fabolous of all people jumps the album chart.
T.I. f. Mary J. Blige "Remember Me": Talking in his prison orange, "Mistakes build character, and character takes you places money can't." I wasn't expecting this intro to lead us into modern shiny beauty, or Blige to be that beauty's vehicle, or the T.I. rap to enter as emphatic and vulnerable as ever. I can't tell if T.I.'s playing tough or not - he probably can't tell either. I mean, the song's unstated premise is that people on the outside might not remember him, despite the rap's confidently declaring otherwise. TICK.
