Country Reconfiguration?

koganbotMiranda Lambert's new album has entered the Billboard album chart a number six and the Billboard country chart at number one (as did her first alb). She has never had a single in the country Top 10, and only one in the country Top 20. This is something that happened to Big & Rich too: sales running way ahead of airplay. She leans very hard rock, just as Big & Rich lean strong funk (at least on their first two albums; I've read distressing words about their third).
Her boyfriend Blake Shelton has a new album this very same week, and his enters the Billboard 200 at number 8 and the country chart at number 2. He has had big singles in the past, however.
Haven't heard the Shelton, but the Lambert is strong, its two singles actually not close to the best.
