Adam Lambert "Mad World"
Champion DJ "Baako" (don't know what year it's from)
Jim Jones "Na Na Nana Na Na"
Sarah Buxton "Space" (like "I'm On A Boat," "Space" is a few months old but took a while to hit me)

Date: 2009-06-02 04:51 am (UTC)Somewhat disappointing that "Electrik City" isn't on How to Be a Lady Vol. 1, but the album overall is both immediately good AND a grower (could be great), which suggests (for now) a Dream/ER one-two punch somewhere in my top five for the year. I would say it might fill your Danity vacuum but it doesn't really have the harmonies -- it does have the sense of business, but a lot of the time the arrangements are doing the heavy lifting. (I do like that they have a more androgynous vocal presence as the frontwoman, though, kind of the lady version of The-Dream.)
