To answer your Jazmine question from yesterday ("Why is it that PRs of shitty indie bands manage to constantly bombard me with unwanted information and endless CDs, but PRs of amazing artists can't even find the time to inform me of RELEASE DATES unless hassled?"), it's partly that when it comes to being a conduit between artist and buyers, the press can do a lot more for indie than it can for r&b. Also, the labels themselves probably don't think much of Britain as a market for r&b, though I don't know if the latter is true, or, if it's true, if it's justified. Is there much radio especially devoted to r&b or r&b-flavored dance and much product that moves despite not being a hit on Top 40?

That said, Jazmine's "Need U Bad," sounding like an extra-reggae-heavy takeoff on "Doo Wop (That Thing)," is something that I'd think Britain might be quite receptive too.

I see how Wayne's let's-really-fuck-the-police conceit could be funny; problem on this track is that words and vocals seem routine in comparison to the rest of the alb. I still haven't given the album enough attention, though, to see how things really fall into shape (or fail to).

And I haven't heard much recent T.I. I always have a memory problem with him (except for "Rubberband Man," which always makes me smile though I don't think it's a great track). I was with everybody in liking "Why You Wanna" and "What You Know," but without going back and listening I wouldn't be able to tell you much about them.
