Chuck says:

Definitely need to ponder David's Sweden theory a whole lot more. Wish I found current charting hip-hop voices as compelling as he and Frank seem to. (Or who knows, maybe if I really wished that I'd give them more listening time. Though I do think I'm giving hip-hop more time than I was a few years ago.)

Also, some P&J ballot similarities I noticed a couple weeks back:

Matt Rice and I were the only people to vote for Ceramic Dog. Craig Seymour and I were the only people to vote for the City Girls album (where was Jody Rosen**??) — though Craig actually voted for *two* City Girls albums, plus a City Girls single! Andy Kellman and Trent Fitzgerald, neither of whom I know, also voted for Midnight Hour (and Kellman voted for Sons of Kemet too, making him probably the only voter I shared two albums with.) David Cooper Moore and I didn't technically share any releases, but we were the only people to vote for either Bhad Bhabie (he voted for the whole album) or Saweetie (he voted for a different single.)

I'm pretty sure no women (or at least no people with given names that traditionally sound more female than male) voted for Sons of Kemet, which was my #1 album. It finished #36 in the poll, thus possibly making it the highest finishing album with that embarrassing distinction. (I didn't check albums that finished higher, so I could be wrong.)

**-- Rosen had mentioned on facebook a while back that it was one of his favorite albums of the year (he liked their second one too), but I don't think he voted.
