From chicken to tiger and back

According to a comment on The Singles Jukebox, the entire point of "Chick Chick" is that "chicken" (or the Chinese word for it) is slang for prostitute.

I'm also not the only person to notice that "Chick Chick" sounds remarkably like T-ara's "Bo Peep Bo Peep" And Wang Rong's "Holiday" rips off 4minute's "Hot Issue".

Meanwhile, I learn that Time magazine has annointed Jolin Tsai's "Play" as possibly the best music video of the year. (The lyrics diss a variety of posturing twits ranging from gym rats to arthouse film hipsters and retro idol fans.)

Talking of idols, Crayon Pop will return in February with a song produced by Shinsadong Tiger. Chrome's CEO said that he was inspired to start a idol group after seeing T-ara perform "Roly Poly" -- which was produced by Shinsadong Tiger (as were those songs that Wang Rong ripped off).
