First I've heard the term "chalga." I'm amused (or bemused) by the word "folk" being so prominent in its definition. I'm sure precommercial music is in its ancestry just as precommercial Anglo-Afro-American music is in Britney Spears' ancestry (and precommercial Anglo-Afro-American music is likely in chalga's ancestry too, though these elements probably register as "pop" and "dance" to listeners and commentators). But am I right in presuming that in chalga there's also a thing of "We are sounding like Eastern Europe"?

Strawberry Milk reinforce my conception of Crayon Pop methodology as "What color shall we paint our house this week?"

Favorite track on the mini-alb is "Feel So Good," which hops aboard the Austral-Romanian Choo-Choo at its Australian end.
