Cited Jackson over Prince (and over R. Kelly, the other obvious reference) not only 'cause I like Jackson way more, but because he's got the obvious obsession with what people think of him. Jagger's there for the icicle social and self analysis, his willingness to push buttons and deliberately make himself a lightning rod, and his tendency to pull the rug out from under the listener (setting up a song or an album as about one thing and then showing flashes of contrary things the song/album could be about).
