(This is a very subtle post that only [livejournal.com profile] davidfrazer will appreciate fully.) (Also see our conversation regarding Badkiz' impact on Korean Taekwando outfit K-Tigers, and the impact of Melbourne bounce on each.)

Monika (did you know she's half-German?) is the only original member still left in the group. She's recently been on King of Masked Singer, and back in May she released a jazzy solo song.

Oops, sorry about that.

In other half-foreign nugu news, Duble Kick Entertainment'snew group Momoland have a member who glories in the name of Nancy Jewel McDonie, from the great state of Ohio.

Even though Momoland only debuted in November, Nancy got picked for Inkigayo's project group Sunny Girls. It just so happens that Sunny Girls' song TAXI was produced by Duble Sidekick, who are the same people as Dublekick Entertainment. TAXI is a 1980s-style electropop track; I'll leave it to you to detect any freestyle influences.

I think it's been released digitally in Korea. No, make that definitely, because it's in the iTunes store here in the UK.

Have you heard Hard 2 Love by Dal Shabet (from the FRI SAT SUN mini-album)? To me it sounds zouk-ish, especially the opening and the chorus, but that's just a stab in the dark. Perhaps it's closer to some other Caribbean or Latin American style...
