This is wonderful. I'm reminded of the work that the Jacob Burns Film Center does in NY with their adult learners (many of whom are retired or semi-retired and looking for ways to express their creativity in new ways) -- they have a structured photo-story method that allows people to tell their stories in visually engaging and poetic ways. But I like the matter-of-factness of this particular vignette, and the way that by holding on everyday tasks, we're asked to "square" the reflective voiceover/writing with our understanding of routines and the other mundane stuff that makes up life. Reminds me in some ways of the spark I often find in the American Splendor comics.
